Hello there fellow community members.
I arrived here after failing to get my webcam drivers installed in Windows 8.1 (running all the lastest updates).
Hopefully someone with a much greater knowledge of windows hardware problems than myself will be kind enough to help me out. My windows version is in the dutch language but I'll try to translate the information contained in the screenshots into English as best as possible.
Device manager shows an Unknown Device with code 28. If I unplug my webcam this entry in the device manager disappears. It reappears if the usb cable is plugged back in again. If I try to find new drivers through device manager I get the following screens :
Translation : There has been a problem during driver installation. A driver was found but not installed. Path not found.
Windows update finds an important driver update but wont install it (failure 80070003 ). A PC cold boot also does not help :
Hardware and devices troubleshooter advises installing a driver :
Can anyone advise me on the following steps needed ? I've done some researching myself here at the community and elsewhere on internet without success. If I need to dive into into the register to change some keys, please let me know (this does not worry me) !
If you got this far through my post, thanks in advance for your time and any possible input.
